Haverford College, Parents Weekend, 2011

Debbi and Paul braved the October snowstorm ( and an unexpected car chase in Philadelphia)  to visit niece, Kate Mundell, at Haverford College for Parents Weekend.
This is their 4th year stepping in for Betsy and Paul back home in Bodega, CA.

  1. We had a great time with Kate at our last Parents Weekend at Haverford. The storm made things a challenge, but we did fine. A highlight of the weekend was a speech on Sat. by Howard Lutnick of Cantor Fitzgerald who lost 628 employees on 9/11 including his brother and best friend, for whom the Haverford Gym was named – they were roommates at Haverford. Kate can share his story with you sometime – so very moving. Saw Kate’s room, got into the town of Ardmore – great Farmers Market there – that’s where the desserts were photographed! Love those Amish! Kate is working hard and has a calender listing the marks she has to hit all the way up to May in order to complete her senior thesis. Paul and I stayed in Philly – a great hotel on Rittenhouse Square – we like that neighborhood – stayed there for our 30th anniversary this summer. OK – all for now. Happy Thanksgiving!
